Whip around #1

I win battles not wars. You know who I am. I get big hits. They who challenge me have never gotten anywhere. The soft mad children turn weakness into strength. You must be a butterfly, but at the same time, you must be a bee.

Court Issued Search Warrant
Issued November 29, 2008

This is a search warrant granted by the township of Sometown, USA. This search warrant entitles the Officers of the STPD to search and seize all computer and hacking related belongings of the suspect, Mr. John B. Smith of 123 Main Street. The suspect himself is also to be taken into custody. The suspect is suspected of hacking the mainframe of a government website and posting terroristic threats on it.  Consider the suspect armed and dangerous. Use force if necessary.

Criminal Background:

John B. Smith has a history of hacking. He has previously hacked numerous websites including his town of residence's website, also posting threats. He was released on a lack of evidence, as at the time he lived in an apartment complex. Handguns and explosive-making materials have also been found at the scene. iChat

I don't get it, what's the big deal with iChatting during school? You're supposed to be doing work. That's what school is for, to learn, to do work, not chat online with your friends. It's not going to get you anywhere. Why does everyone want it? You can chat when you get home.  If anyone has a good reason to be able to iChat during school, please leave a comment below.

Thanks for the hatred!

Coincidence.

Coincidence. Do you believe it? Is is random? Is there some sort of force behind it? I think it's just all random. Look at it like it was supposed to happen. For example, I had to call my mom to tell her I would be right out of school when discovering I had two missed calls from her. Why wouldn't she call again? She did. So it was going to happen anyway. Well that's all I kinda have to say here, so have a happy iPhone app PSA free day!

RovioDriver for the iPhone, iPod Touch

*Sigh* It seems all I talk about here are iPhone apps, but I can't help it... maybe there will be something new... probably... wait... yeah. Anyhow, ever here of something called Rovio? (See Graphic I) Well it is this home surveillance mobile webcam with its own docking station and other amazing stuff. I don't feel like explaining all of it so CLICK HERE to see it. TRUST ME, you won't be disappointed.

An iPhone developer recently released his first app called "RovioDriver" (See Graphic II) which allows you to drive your Rovio using the accelerometer and touch screen on your iPhone or iPod Touch, as Rovio is normally controlled by a desktop interface, this is a great jump. CLICK HERE for iTunes Link. "RovioDriver" is available for free.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT "ROVIODRIVER" IS NOT A GAME. IT IS STRICTLY A MOBILE INTERFACE FOR CONTROLLING YOUR ROVIO, SO YOU NEED TO OWN ONE.*

Thumbspeak

I thought "Thumbspeak" was a very good article. It really gave some in-depth information of texting and why and how people use it. I'm not a big text-er, so a lot of the information was new to me. The article claims that people are pressured to respond quickly to a text, I'm not. I don't believe in that no quick response=dishonor thing. Also, whatever amount that I do text, it certainly doesn't mess up my regular writing and typing.

I am not pressured to respond quickly, unless it requires a quick response. Jeez people---just keep patient! I'll get to you when I'm ready to hurt my fingers. No quick-response=dishonor? What are people talking about? Give the "rcv3r" some respect, maybe they have to think about what they're about to text.

Alright, I'll admit it, I do use the occasional "u" or "ur," but that doesn't affect my writing. (Just a quick side note, unless a text-er has a full QWERTY keyboard, it's a lot quicker to type "at" instead of "@," because there are far less keystrokes required.) I actually try to use full words, occasionally swapping an "o" for a "0" (zero). So final opinion on texting: If the message isn't that important, I'll text, but if it is, like, "Don't come over now! I have an emergency doctor appointment!" I'll initiate a telephone call. (HA! He said telephone!)

"kthxbye!"

Microsoft puts "I'm a PC" recording booths in front of Apple Store

AppleInsider and Engadget report that Microsoft has started placing "I'm a PC" recoding booths in front of Apple Stores. The photo below was submitted to AppleInsider along with this: "It's a f***in booth where you can record your own I'm a PC video," he said. "This is outside the Apple Store, Bullring, Birmingham, England." He added that a trio of Microsoft staffers will be on hand to turn patrons off from the Mac for the next three days. " My opinion: Just WOW. Is Microsoft really that desperate for customers? Are they afraid of Apple for stealing the computer market? In my opinion, yes, and yes. Apple just has seamless products, I recently got a MacBook Pro, not a single problem, but with my old PC, there were problems here and there, virus blocker annoying me out of my skin, and I just needed a good computer. So what do you think about the booths? (Angry Lunch Blogger, I'm watching you...) Leave a comment below.

Google Releases Google Earth for Apple App Store

Google on Saturday released Google Earth for iPhone and iPod Touch via Apple's App Store. This, I believe, will be a nice addition to Google's built in Maps application on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Google Earth is available for free. A review of this application should be posted by Friday. Click for link. Google also sells the Google Mobile application via the App Store.

New iMacs/ Price Drops Soon?

Jon4lakers.com has recently posted an image of the Apple Store iMac page, depicting the new price drops. But due to the question of reliability of the photo (which I could confirm as fake, because of visible uses of a Java Script hack) it has been taken down by the admin. The iMac has been due for an upgrade now, anyway, because of the recent update to the iPods, Macs, and iPhone 3G. So if you're looking to buy a new iMac, hold off until the second week of January, which is when they're due. Any new news will be posted here, on The Tech Fanboy.

The White Van

Do you find it strange when you see an unmarked white van with government plates speed out of a side street at 7:30 in the morning? Well I do. Suspicious? Yes. Normal? No.

Personal: Journal #2

Do you worry about being an adult? Why or why not?

I do worry about becoming an adult. When one becomes an adult, the world all of a suddenly become a whole lot bigger. A lot of things suddenly open up. A few things go away. A lot more can happen when you are by yourself.

A lot of things suddenly open up, the freedom of being to do a lot more than you can. Like driving for instance. Like right now, as I type this, I'm not able to drive, I don't have my license, but when I'm an adult I will. Then I'll have to worry about getting into car accidents (knock on wood), or getting a ticket. A lot of kids "hang out" in the streets getting into trouble, while I feel safe inside my home, quietly clicking away at my computer.

A few things go away. Like when one is older, people can see him/her as more capable of doing something bad, but that doesn't mean that you can't do something bad when you are young. When I was in middle school, someone scrawled a bomb threat in the bathroom. Anyone is capable of anything. More things can also happen when you are by yourself. Like getting mugged, or attacked, that's something that I'm also worried about. I am happy young, and not so sure if I want to grow up.

Quick tech lesson

How to type in Leet Speak (1337_5pe4k):

Replace the following letters with the corresponding number.

  • A=4
  • E=3
  • I/L=1
  • O=0 (zero)
  • S=5
  • T=7 (depends on the situation)

Example Sentence: 1337 5p34k 15 4m4z1ng 4nd f04 the (not a situation for "7") w1n

Let's see some sentences!

As you all can see, I just added a beautiful new banner to the top of the page. The size needs to be adjusted a bit, but otherwise, I like it. Questions? Comments?
